just to be clear,

My husband and his father are alike in many ways.

One of those ways is their need to exaggerate beyond all belief.

When I was a junior in high school, I had the lovely experience of getting my wisdom teeth removed. I also had the lovely opportunity of texting a funny boy. We had the kind of relationship where we sent each other pictures or texts of simple daily things that we thought the other might appreciate.

Upon waking up the weekend of getting my teeth removed, I decided to send him a picture of how swollen and homeless I looked.

To this day, he still tells people I did my hair and put on make up, and used the wisdom teeth as an excuse to send him a picture of me trying to "look hot" and get his attention.

Please. Like I would have done that.

Just to be clear, THIS is the picture I sent him. My hair was leftover from the day before. I am not wearing make up. And if I was trying to look hot, I failed miserably.

On a lighter note, I have gotten ready before. (Back in 2009)
I also tried to look hot.
